Sutter states, ” Don’t panic, but we are running out of internet addresses”. Holy crap! We aren’t talking about www. addresses but something way more important: IP addresses. Every email marketer knows of the cream of the crop advantages of having a private IP address and dedicated IP addreses for sending. With a these IP options, a company can manage their white labeling and branding for their eMarketing campaigns and have the best possible sender reputation without having it spoiled by past users of the IP.

So what are we going to do? Well, like the telephone and upc codes, the internet finally matured and needs more numbers. The plan is to go from a numbers system that only  has the capacity of 32 bits of data ( a seriers of four numbers with periods between them) to a system named IPv6 that could hold up to 128 bits of data.
